Eligibility Criteria (as of August 1, 2025):

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 10th or an equivalent examination from a recognized board
Age limit :
  • MTS Posts: 18-25 years.
  • Havaldar in CBIC and CBN, and a few MTS posts: 18-27 years.
  • Age Relaxation: Applicable as per government rules for reserved categories (SC/ST, OBC, PwD, Ex-Servicemen).
Exam Pattern (Paper I - Computer Based Examination - CBE):
  • The exam will be conducted online and comprises two sessions: Session I and Session II.
Both sessions are compulsory.
  • Session I (No Negative Marking):
  •  Numerical and Mathematical Ability: 20 Questions (60 Marks)
  •  Reasoning Ability and Problem-Solving: 20 Questions (60 Marks)
  • Total: 40 Questions (120 Marks) - Duration: 45 minutes

Session II (Negative Marking: 1 mark for each wrong answer):

  • General Awareness: 25 Questions (75 Marks)

  • English Language and Comprehension: 25 Questions (75 Marks)

  • The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) examination annually. The syllabus for SSC MTS 2025 is broadly divided into four subjects.

  • The exam is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and is conducted in two sessions. Both sessions are mandatory.

  • Important points to remember:

  •  * There is no negative marking in Session 1.

  •  * There is a negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer in Session 2.

  •  * The questions will be set in English, Hindi, and 13 regional languages for Session I and the General Awareness section of Session II.

  •  * For the Havaldar post, candidates also need to clear a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) in addition to the CBT.

  • It's highly recommended to refer to the official SSC MTS notification for 20

  • 25 once it is released, as there might be minor updates or clarifications.
